This piece is made using fabric remnants of bigger projects, which means that you'll find handmade fabrics from Don Chepe, Don Juan, and Hacienda de los Nacimientos in El Salvador, combined with fabrics handwoven by Don Manuel & Family in Nahuala, Guatemala, using the traditional weaving loom.

Then this piece is sewn by the founder, Caro Arias, in Wendell, NC. Caro has been sewing since she was 12 years old and fell in love with this skill because it brought her closer to her mom, a highly skilled seamstress.
The artisanal fabrics are a mix of 100% cotton and 100% acrylic wool.
This piece is part of our Artela collection, where gently used garments are deconstructed and reimagined with artisan textiles from Latin America. Each design reflects our commitment to sustainability, our community, and reducing textile waste from ending up in landfills.
