About the Artisans

This piece is available in multiple fabrics, each handcrafted by a different artisan community across El Salvador.

The Mustard Yellow fabric from El Salvador is handwoven by Don Chepe in Concepción de Ataco, El Salvador. Our oldest artisan, Don Chepe, has over 50 years of weaving experience and has devoted his life to teaching the next generation how to preserve traditional weaving.

The Purple & White Striped fabric is handwoven by Don Juan in San Sebastian, El Salvador. Don Juan and his team from Textiles Barahona live in San Sebastian and specialize in hand weaving hammocks

Then this piece is sewn by the founder, Caro Arias, in Wendell, NC. Caro has been sewing since she was 12 years old and fell in love with this skill because it brought her closer to her mom, a highly skilled seamstress.

Fabric Content

The artisanal fabrics are 100% acrylic wool and 100% cotton, respectively.
