Named for one of the women who makes Descalza possible. The Magdalena is a mini open-front cardigan with raglan sleeves in our favorite mustard yellow fabric. This color works in every season and makes any outfit feel complete. It's the subtle statement. The finishing touch that doesn't try too hard.
Made in North Carolina with artisan fabric handwoven in Latin America. Once this colorway is sold out, it won't return in the same fabric. Wear it knowing it's truly one of a kind.
The colorful fabric is handwoven by Don Manuel & Family in Nahuala, Guatemala, using a traditional weaving loom passed down through generations. Manuel de Jesus, his family, and the entire village just outside of Nahuala weave not only as a source of income but to keep their culture and traditions alive.
This piece is then sewn by Doña Magdalena in Sanford, North Carolina. Born in El Salvador, Doña Magdalena has been sewing from a very young age and brings over 30 years of craftsmanship to every piece she makes.
The artisanal fabrics are 100% acrylic wool.
